Jayson Chase

Ability Name: Gravity Manipulation

General Description: The user can create, shape and manipulate gravity, a natural phenomenon by which all physical bodies attract each other. They can bend gravity to make the environment very “heavy” or “light”, cause objects to “fall” toward another object instead of the earth, flatten objects, and generate miniature black holes to compress objects into oblivion. They can repel and attract matter and energy regardless of its mass or move objects in a manner similar to telekinesis.


D-Rank: The user is able to increase or decrease the gravity around them. They cannot cause anything heavier than 100 pounds to lift off the ground, and cannot cause more pressure than that of 100 pounds. They cannot choose to effect only certain objects. They can create a shield out of condensed gravity from their hands and only a few feet in front of them; which will slow down whatever goes through it due to the decreased gravitational force.

Jayson grew up in a very faith filled home in Crawford City, being raised in the church. His mother took him to church every Sunday, his father coming along some days but usually was quite busy. He was an only child and because of it he got spoiled by his mother and grandparents, however his father never spoiled him. Jayson often times had to fight to get his father's recognition and approval. He just wanted to be a good son. School was an easy task for Jayson most of the time, until it came to numbers. He always hated math, not being good at it. From a young age Jayson knew about the supernatural, his father choosing to teach him about it early on much to the dismay of his mother. Apparently his father was a part of a secret organization within the government that studied and handled supernatural affairs.

When Jayson was 12 years of age he lost his mother. It was a horrible car accident, her car being struck by a drunk driver in a truck. She was on her way to the supermarket to pick up food for Thanksgiving dinner. Well, that's the story Jayson's been told. After his mother's death, Jayson spent most of his time alone at home. He had to learn how to cook, clean, and take care of himself. His father was gone most of the time, working within the SIA. After graduating high school, his father had climbed the ranks over the many years and was able to get Jayson into the SIA. He went through the training, both physically and mentally within the organization. He did well but it was never enough for his father; leaving Jayson to constantly strive for his father's praise.

It was on the job that he met a woman named Emily, who he'd start referring to as Em. She was a medical student in school to become a doctor. Students on the campus were turning up dead, drained of blood. Vampires. He interviewed Emily, the two flirted and he asked her out for a drink. After he killed the vampire Jayson continued seeing Emily, they started dating and by the time he reached 30 he had his daughter. Little Madison, or Maddie, was his whole world. The secrets Jayson had to keep because of the SIA were too much for his and Em's relationship. The two fought often, and the fact he had to work so often and wasn't always around while Maddie was a baby was a big strain. They fought more and more, before both realizing they had to end it. Maddie was a little over a year when they finally split.

More recently, Jayson was on the job hunting down a Pusher who was killing off his own ex girlfriend's family. When the man tried to crush a little girl with a large truck, Jayson managed to shove the little girl out of the way and in turn he was crushed by the truck. Kind of fucked up irony, since that was what supposedly killed his mother. A truck. The Pusher then used the vehicle to crush Jayson and as this happened, Jade who is Jayson's partner managed to get there. She shot the guy, killing him and saving the little girl. Jayson should've been crushed. He should've been dead, but somehow he wasn't... He was okay.
