History: Erika was born an only child to a set of parents that were very blessed to have her. They had a pretty typical life- mom, dad, baby, and a dog. They went to church on Sundays, helped out those less fortunate and spent time together. The whole 'American Dream'. Which was pretty much the definition of the family. Erika's father was a prior military man and served for life, retiring as a sergeant to life the rest of his days with his wife and daughter. Eventually, when Erika was a teenager, the family moved to Crawford City and their quiet life changed as they shifted from small-town folk to city folk over the years. As she got older, she began to throw herself into her studies. She wanted to work in the medical industry, specifically as a nurse, because she always wanted to help people. And because she was good at caring for people, it was just a natural fit.
College was probably the best time in her life. She went out with girlfriends on the weekends, had some dates, but she also knew each day she was one step closer to graduating with her degree and starting her career. About halfway through college, however, her parents passed away in a car accident on their way out of town to visit family. Her whole world was taken from her in an instant and the once good Christian girl lost her faith. Since then, she had a hard time believing in things like she used to, such as happy endings and things of that nature. At least, outwardly. Internally, she still very much yearned for that happiness she knew all her life to return and after graduating and honoring her late parents in her speech, she settled into her life in Crawford City, eager to push through and find that 'American Dream' for herself.
Personality: Erika is a very caring individual. She takes her job seriously and always takes very good care of her patients. She's also tremendously brave. She'll do whatever it takes to save people that would have died otherwise and has been able to keep level-headed under pressure. However, she can be a bit overbearing as well. She's the kind of nurse who means well but can sometimes hover over the patients that are in a more critical condition, often treating the family like her own and getting too emotionally invested in their care. She's also tremendously skeptical of things. She doesn't entirely believe in magic and such as that. So it's a good thing she's clueless about supernatural things. But under it all, she's truly a good person.
