SUPERNATURAL GIFTS
Sawyer was born with a predisposition towards practicing magic. He does not have to summon power from a God or Demon, and instead is capable of harnessing his own and nature's energy for power. He is capable of creating magical potions, conduct rituals, and incite spells.
Fire Balls - The ability to shoot Fireballs from one's hands. Fireballs can be the size as a ping pong ball, or with using both hands the size of a basketball. When a fireball hits a target, it bursts and can cause something to set ablaze because of it.
Blinking - Blinking is the ability to transport oneself to a thought-of location or person in the "blink of an eye". Blinking is an instantaneous transfer, usually accompanied by a short, sharp sound. The Witch can only blink to an area they can see.

STORY SO FAR
Sawyer was one of three children born to John and Anna , belonging to the founding family the Grants. Sawyer was the middle child, trying to be as good as his older brother but not spoiled enough like his baby sister. Sawyer's mother was a very capable witch who taught her children how to hone their abilities at a young age. She and Sawyer's father had met through an organization known as the SIA which was established to help locate and learn more about the world of the supernatural. They did their best to help those beings live among normal society and helped them harness their capabilities, rather than fear them. Of course this wouldn't remain the SIA's goals over the decades.
Both Sawyer and his brother, Walter, got along most of the time, but they had quite the rivalry between them. When one learned to do something or accomplished it, the other would try to do the same thing but better. It was always about one upping each other. Instead of growing close to either sibling, he ended up becoming fond to a young girl named Jane. Both of their fathers worked within the SIA and were partners, little did they know that they would both follow in their footsteps.
Sawyer joined the SIA immediately, thanks to his father being an agent. Walter also joined the organization and for years the family helped locate supernatural beings and helping them learn what they were, helping them blend into society, and just gathering information about them. It wasn't until they were adults and in the SIA that Jane told Sawyer about her attraction to women. He was absolutely terrified for her, knowing how most people would react to knowing that. He didn't want her hurt, or worse, killed. Sawyer himself had attractions to men that he never acted on, or entertained. He didn't even tell Jane about it.
Both Sawyer and Jane were placed together as partners, most likely due to the close relationship between their families. While working for the SIA, Sawyer met Mary who he fell head over heels for. Mary was three years younger than him, and had moved to Willow Creek with her mother. Mary wasn't like other young women, she had a darkness to her and abilities that scared both her and her family. Sawyer vowed to help find out more about what she was and help her to control her powers. It was through this that the two spent a lot of time together and a deeper bond was formed. He told her everything about himself and the SIA, which was probably not the smartest thing to do but he was smitten. Mary returned the feelings and they ended up wedding very quickly after she turned 18.
It was in 1926 that Walter was killed on a case to help a man who could start fires with his mind. He was what the SIA classified as a "Burner", and was able to create flames and explosions with their minds. After losing his brother, Sawyer hunted down the Burner and got revenge for his brother's death. This caused some issues with the SIA, but they ultimately decided that since he wasn't a normal human being they had to take care of the dangerous man before he hurt and killed more people. Sawyer was out of commission for a year before finally returning to work with encouragement from Mary.
Soon after he met a man named Chris Anderson, who apparently was a vampire. The SIA had just began to get more information on the creatures of the night. They were extremely secretive and hard to find. Chris vowed that he wouldn't hurt anyone, and Sawyer having developed a friendship with the man, believed him. Another friend, Elizabeth Monroe, who was Jane's sister also became very fond of Chris and they developed a close relationship. Eventually Chris had to leave Willow Creek, as he wasn't aging and he left his estate to be taken care of by Elizabeth and the Monroe family.
Sometime after, Jane had gotten herself in quite the situation. She had developed feelings for a married woman in town, and not any woman at that. She was the local pastor's wife. Sawyer didn't know the extent of everything that happened between the two but he begged Jane not to get caught. That they had to end it before her husband ever found out, before the town ever did. Well... It was too late. The two were caught by her husband and the news spread like wild fire. Jane was forced to go into hiding after the woman broke her heart and ended it between them. "Nothing could happen. She loved her husband." Sawyer comforted Jane and kept her hidden, making up a story that Jane left to work in a different state.
In 1904 Elizabeth, who was a Dreamer, had a premonition of the end of the world. Elizabeth had a reputation of being the strongest Dreamer the SIA ever recorded and was extremely reliable. She saw something about special people, gifted with extraordinary abilities and a great evil that would devour and destroy the entire world. She kept seeing the same year over and over again - 2020. She didn't know the exact date, but it was sometime around then. She told Jane and Sawyer about the dreams, that they keep getting worse and worse. Deciding that they had to do something, that it was the SIA's responsibility to do so... They went to the higher ups. Without exact information, they dismissed the claims. They would handle it when it came. Sawyer knew that was bullshit, and that there was no way anyone would be able to do a thing if everyone who knew about this was dead. Writing it down on some paper and stuffing it away wouldn't help anyone, it'd get lost among the thousands of other documents.
Sawyer stole a spell from the SIA headquarters and told Jane he was going to head to the future himself, to stop this from happening. Of course Jane, being a shifter that imprinted on Sawyer and his best friend/partner, wasn't going to let him go alone. He told his wife, who he promised that he would return and that they could try for that baby girl they both had wanted so bad. The spell needed a powerful celestial event to power it, and thankfully on August 31st, 1932 there was a total solar eclipse. Call it fate, but it would be seen from the Willow Creek area. He and Jane proceeded to get everything ready to travel to the future, and prepare the returning spell as well. "I'll only be gone for a second. Just blink and I'll be back." Was his last words to her, then a kiss, and he did the spell with Jane to leave. Mary watched in awe, tears in her eyes as the total eclipse passed over head and once it was done... They were gone.
Little did Sawyer know, they would never be able to return. Mary would stand there for hours, waiting for them to return. She must had blinked a million times. Her life was flipped upside down and due to the depression she had a rough life. Eventually she found a new man and had a family. Now it is 2020, and Sawyer has just appeared in a whole new world.
