SUPERNATURAL GIFTS
Ability Name: Hydrokinesis
General Description: Hydrokinesis is the ability to control and manipulate water at will. The user, with practice, can manipulate water in its solid, liquid, and gaseous forms. However, the ability does not allows the user to change water’s form (they cannot melt ice or evaporate water). Hydrokinesis also allows the user to manipulate the water directly around them, allowing them to essentially “breathe” underwater.
D-Rank: The user can manipulate very small amounts of water, mostly in the form of small ripples and waves. The user can also breathe under water in small increments of time, up to thirty minutes. Much like water itself, the user’s control is very volatile and requires extreme focus. The user can manipulate roughly a gallon of water at one time.

STORY SO FAR
Justin Bailey was born to a loving, supportive family and grew up in Crawford city. For the most part, his childhood was normal. He had parents who loved him and was an average boy. However, he took an early love of football. Every Sunday, his father would watch football games and Justin would be right there with him. The boy was enthralled with the game and the excitement and dreamed of being on the TV instead of watching.
In school, he was quick to join any sports team he could. By middle school, he had made a name for himself in school. He was the jock, albeit not the typical one. He was tremendously friendly and had no issues talking to anyone and everyone. He found it very easy to socialize with people. Come high school, he joined the school football team and was phenomenal at it. By senior year, he was recruited into joining the Crawford Sharks. His dream was coming true.
Playing for the Sharks was everything he had ever hoped for. He made friends quickly with another player, Seth Walker, and got along with his teammates very well. He rose in stardom for being on the team and being an excellent player. Everything seemed to be going well for him.
That is, until his buddy Seth seemed to drop off the face of the earth. His fellow players had no idea where their beloved friend went and Justin began to worry a lot. He was quite concerned because this wasn't like Seth. He continued to bolster his teammates' spirits and try to keep the team intact. Ultimately, though, the disappearance of his friend bothered him enough that he took a season off to go and find him.
At some point during the summer of 2019, Justin had taken a pause in his search for Seth to go swimming in the ocean. He needed a moment to relax and not overwhelm himself with worry. During that summer, he noticed a little boy being swept out to sea. Without even hesitating, Justin threw himself into the water and swam out to the boy. The boy was struggling against the strong current and Justin kept holding him above water while a nearby boat came by to snatch up the boy. Water filled his lungs and the last thing he saw before he began to sink into the ocean was the boy being safely pulled onto the boat. The next thing he knew, he had broken through the surface, to the shock and surprise of the adults on the boat. When he was later questioned about it since everyone was sure by how he began to sink that he was done for, all Justin could recall was that the air in his lungs seemed to grow instead of deplete and he found himself able to push himself to the surface. He was unharmed and didn't even have water in his lungs. The first responders who checked him and the boy out simply chalked it up to adrenaline. However, Justin was unaware of the Chosen mark on his left forearm, looking like a peculiar scar that he thought, maybe, he had gotten when he had blacked out. Either way, being a hero helped bolster his search for his friend.
However, that search seemed to become fruitless. No one seemed to know where Seth was, let alone where he might have been. One evening, Justin was in the shower, stewing over things. His worry for his buddy and for his teammates without them began to bubble up. What if Seth was hurt? What if he was dead? Worry after worry began to fill his head and he felt as if his heart would explode out of his chest. With a burst of emotion, he hit his fist against the wall and water immediately rippled around him. He paused at that. Then he did it again. Once more, the water from the shower rippled around him, as if controlled. His heart began to beat harder in his chest. He quickly turned off the shower head and water began to fill the tub around him. Okay, maybe it was nothing. He was just emotional, right?
He exited the shower, glancing at himself in the mirror. He definitely looked as stressed as he felt. He moved to the sink to brush his teeth and delved back into his worries about Seth and his mind drifted. Water began to fill in the sink and he stared at it, zoning out as he thought. More thoughts of what could have happened to his friend filled his head and his hand resting on the sink clenched into a fist. As it did, a little wave happened in the water. It wouldn't have surprised him... If it hadn't originated from the area his hand was resting. Immediately, he jerked away from the water, panicked. Oh god, was he losing his mind?
For the next few days, he tested this thing with the water. The more he did, the more it freaked him out and the more he got freaked out, the more he was seemingly able to do. He quickly began to spend more time trying to find Seth, desperate for answers- for himself and his friend.
