SUPERNATURAL GIFTS
Superhuman Strength - The ability to lift and put force through the human body well beyond that of the norm that humans are capable of, turning punches and kicks into deadly lethal, heavy objects into throwing weapons, and more. Bending steel, breaking wood, and smashing stone becomes easy over time. The upper limits vary, but are none the less terrifying to see in action when a normal human being smashes through stone with their hands alone. It comes with a cost, however, in that the user of the ability finds they now exist in a world that is all too delicate and breakable, like a world made of paper and cardboard, which cause them to have to re-learn the right amount of force and gripping strength to avoid breaking things... and people.
D-Rank: The user has immense strength and no finite control over how much gripping strength and force they end up using with the capability to very easily lift and throw a grown human male or smash through a wooden door. While they might not always destroy everything they touch, it becomes more common - especially during emotional extremes such as rage, excitement, or sadness which can cause them to very easily break things, hurt, or kill people. It's fairly common for users at this stage to break glasses in their hands, pull doors off of hinges, break vehicles without meaning to, and otherwise damage people and property whether they mean to or not, often causing the emotional duress to become worse. The upper limits of their strength is unknown. They will also be able to begin "leaping" using the strength in their legs, launching themselves through the air and landing, although may not be particularly good at this for some time, and it can actually be damaging. Users at this stage can experience muscle strain by pushing themselves too far, which is only compounded and amplified depending on how much they attempt to push themselves, to the point they can begin tearing muscles and ligaments. It is entirely possible to accidentally kill a normal human at this state during an emotional extreme.

STORY SO FAR
Revan was born in Crawford City to a teenage mother who, deciding that she didn't want to raise a daughter at her age, opted to give Revan up for adoption almost immediately after she was born without so much of a second thought. She was very quickly adopted out to an expectant family in Willow Creek, and all in all had a painfully normal life. She was an only child, and didn't have any other siblings to really grow attached to - so she found people outside of the family, and ended up not spending a lot of time home as she got older and began to get closer to people - like her friends DJ and Joel, who she was friends with throughout school.
As she got older, Revan began to develop an immense talent for music - very quickly learning to play the piano, the guitar and sing, proving to be more than a bit of a savant at how quickly she seemed to be able to pick up the new creative skills - she rapidly moved into song writing, which was a hobby she spent a large majority of her high school years deeply engrossed in while in the mix of usual high school drama and who dated who among DJ and Joel's antics. Revan never dated anyone for one simple reason that didn't come out to her friends until her sophmore year - when she realized she was gay and ended up dating a girl through the rest of high school until graduation.
Joel was the first to know, and later DJ, and afterwards Revan ended up just coming out entirely, not wanting to hide that bit of herself anymore.
It didn't go well with her parents, and when Revan was eighteen she was very promptly kicked to the curb and contact was cut. She hasn't talked to them since. When graduation came about, DJ and Joel went off to the military, and Revan moved back to the city of her birth to pursue a career in her passion; music. Surprisingly, she ended up doing pretty well in short order through a series of lucky breaks and talking to the right people, and Revan was angled to become a up and coming musical talent on the scene in very short order. It was in this time that she met an aspiring author named Lucy Grey, also on the verge of her first big break with publishing a book, and with the two of them wrapped up in a very turbulent and exciting point in their life, they ended up dating. Revan fell in love fast and hard, and in a few years time she and Lucy were married.
Things were good, really good, given Revan was quickly gaining popularity as a musician and Lucy was managing to get her novel series 'End of the Road' published through Revan's contacts, they weren't wanting for money, which is what prompted them to head off on a ski vacation, not realizing that was going to change just about everything in Revan's life overnight. The vacation went on almost without a hitch, and they were piling into a tourist van to head back in the direction of civilization, when passing through a ravine, the van was struck by falling rocks from the ledges above them and driven off of the road and through the barrier.
In panic, everyone began to scramble to escape, with Revan initially fleeing out, only to realize the driver and a mother and son were still inside, having been pinned beneath their seats. Not even hesitating she went back into the van, hopped up on adrenaline, and with the help of the mother pride the seat up and off of the son, helping them out and going for the driver, but before Revan could go to get him free of being pinned against the wheel, the van tipped over the edge of the road, through the barrier, and fell down a large embankment, tumbling end over and and crumpling in on itself.
By some miracle, Revan survived with some broken bones, waking up in the hospital some time later, learning that the people she'd helped were fine, but the driver didn't make it.
That was the first ding. A media circus followed, and once things settled Revan opted to step out of the spotlight for a time, but wouldn't have that chance when she learned that her friend, Joel, had died overseas. And that hurt, more than she could have explained. Going to his funeral was not an easy thing on Revan, even with Lucy there for support. And it was that night that something went very, very wrong when Revan latched onto Lucy in bed that night, hugging her tightly...
... And crushed her rib cage, causing Lucy to suffocate and die.
Panic ensued immediately, and Revan tried to call for help, but by the time paramedics arrived, it was too late. Revan broke down in shock, and although there was nothing that could possibly implicate her in what happened given the ridiculous amount of force that it took to crush the life out of her wife, Revan knew what she did. Lucy's death was ruled as an accident, the news had a whole other media circus around her, but Revan couldn't be held accountable by the 'accident' that claimed Lucy's life.
She certainly thinks differently.
