Zasha is a Natural Witch, born with a predisposition towards practicing magic. She does also summon power from the God Iris, alongside being capable of harnessing her own and nature's energy for power. She goes by the law of Nature, so the goal of many Witches is to honor the design of nature and to maintain balance within the natural world. The balance of nature is intimately tied to one's spiritual relationship with the Earth, and the idea that all living things (e.g. animals, humans, plants, etc.) are considered sacred, as they are all different aspects of nature. Due to this, Zasha is also considered a White Witch and often practices Nature Magic with the power she draws from the God Iris. She does have a portable alter disguised as a fruit bowl most of the time, especially if she has guests, that she uses for rituals and offerings to the God.

STORY SO FAR
Born in the dead of one of Kirishi, Russia's harshest winters to Nikolae and Aliluyeva Vazova, Zasha Nikolaevna Vazova proved to be a survivor from the very start. Despite the chill that the small, three room thatch hut rarely ever protected the family against, the child thrived throughout the winter months, never being more than a few feet away from her mother at all times as the woman went about her daily tasks of cooking, cleaning and preparing salves, potions and herbal remedies for those who came across their home on their journeys to other cities. As the child grew, so did her curiosity and ingenuity for all things magical and mythical. Taught by both of her parents to respect nature by way of introducing her to the God Iris though Nature magic, as well as how to command certain elements of it, she could just as easily be found laying quietly among the tall grasses and wild flowers of the surrounding plains, her face warmed by the sun as she listened to the constant, peaceful sound of the wildlife that surrounded her. Nikolae taught her to hunt humanely and only for what was necessary for them to survive, instilling the value of life, big or small into the child at an early age while Aliluyeva showed her daughter the ins and outs of healing with herbs, poultices and potions. Her mother also taught her even more ancient arts, such as herbology, alchemy and defensive magic. During the summer months, her parents would take a sort of pilgrimage into the nearby cities and towns to sell excess furs and materials as well as replenish their stores of herbs and other necessities that they could not grow or find themselves.
It was during one of these visits, when the child was no more than five that the sweet tempered child's life would forever change. The Vazova family had arrived rather late one evening at one of the various Inns on the outskirts of Salekhard. Exhausted from their journey and wishing for nothing more than the comfort of a warm hearth and a soft bed, Zasha's parents left the child at a table as they spoke with the Inn keep to inquire about the cost of room and board for the evening. Curious as she was, the young girl caught sight of a copper haired stranger as he walked a silver coin between his knuckles. Fascinated by such a simple feat, she crept closer to the man and asked politely how he had accomplished such a thing. With a wicked grin, the stranger let the coin slip between his gloved fingers and then opened his hand to her, but there was no coin. Astonished and filled to the brim with questions, the child begged to know of what kind of power the man possessed in order to cause a coin or, anything for that matter to disappear. He offered to show her, if only she would follow him outside as the noise within the tavern was not conducive to teaching anyone. Hesitantly, she agreed and took the strangers hand slipping for the first time since she was born from the line of sight of her parents. The stranger guided the all too trusting child down the back alley, away from the dim glow of the oil lamps which of course prompted the child to question how he was to teach her anything if she could not see his examples.
Growing weary of Zasha's questions the man turned on her, revealing himself to be a creature of darkness common to the lands they were currently in. The vampire attempted to feed on the child, but not before she lit the strangers coat on fire causing the vampire to flee. It was dawn before Nikolae and Aliluyeva found their child, scared and trembling with fear of her own newly discovered power behind a pallet of boxes. Frantic and fearful of her discovery and being able to find none in the way of culprits save for the child's description, they took her up to their room where her mother did what she could to ease her daughter's fears but the damage was already done. Zasha recovered well enough, her temperament had not seemed to change much though she had become far more cautious and shy with strangers. The family moved on, wishing to put the incident behind them but it would soon come to light that such things would not be so easily done. Nikolae decided it would be best to cut their trip short and begin the journey home. Most of their wares had either been sold or bartered away by now and what little they had left could easily be stored until the following summer.
On their journey home, they were set upon by bandits, having no idea of their daughter's ability to create fire. When the deviants attacked, the five year old acted reflexively, reciting the spell that her mother had taught her to manipulate tree roots, causing the bandits to trip, fire balls forming in her hands shortly there after, another muttered incantation leaving her lips. Scared off by such a sight, the bandits retreated and left the family to continue their journey in peace. Slightly frightened by how quickly the young woman had taken to magic, they sent her to America to study and learn to control her new abilities. She was under the care of a very knowledgable witch that lived in Crawford City until she turned eighteen, at which point she moved to Willow Creek to open her own Herbology and Apothecary store, selling seeds, plants and potions out of a small corner shop.
It was during her time in Crawford City that she met Kasen Bennette, a fellow witch that she grew rather fond of over the years of visitation and many talks that she had with him. Their friendship blossomed like a morning glory and Zasha came to enjoy his company and sense of humor. He quickly became one of her few and close friends and they often shared their knowledge of their craft with each other. After moving to Willow Creek, she remained in contact with him, primarily due to the fact that once she opened her shop, he began ordering from her. Now, at twenty five, Zasha continues to practice magic and live off of the land as her parents had taught her. Though she has not seen to them in years, she does send and receive letters from them often, every now and then taking a trip to Crawford City, although she never stays very long, disliking the confines of concrete jungles.
