STORY SO FAR
Rayvn Victoria Black was born on October 31, 1855 to Jace Ramos Black and Jillian Lucinda O'Neil along with Rayvn's identical twin sister, Rayne Melissa Black. Both girls received a Noble's education, growing up playing in the gardens and roaming the halls of the Black Family Manor. Many times, Rayvn was found hiding with her twin from her Governess among the manybedrooms when they weren't in lessons or attending the lavish balls their parents held. A year before the twin's came of age to be married, Jace and Lillian began to seek out suitors for the twins. The two that stuck out the most to their parents were Darius and Marrow McGregor. The McGregor family had been friends and allies of the Black family for centuries so when the brothers came to call upon the twins, Jace found the match to be perfect. What he didn't expect was for the twins to fall in love with each other's suitors. When it came time to chose a suitor, Rayvn surprised her father by stating that she did not wish to marry just yet. Due to this and in a fit of rage, Jace made the decision for the twins, accepting the McGregor's offer of marriage. He did not give either a choice as to which brother they wished to marry either, deciding what he thought was the best match on his own. Jace wanted them to be married as quickly as possible so the wedding was planned over the span of a few weeks.
On the morning of October 31, 1871 Rayne came to her twin sister with a proposition. She knew that Rayvn had fallen for Darius just as she had fallen for Marrow, the fact that their father refused to listen to reason on the subject lead her to believe that they would have to take matters into their own hands. She told her sister that she wished to switch places so that they could have the man that they wanted. At first Rayvn argued, not wishing to go against her duty to the family but Rayne always had a way of convincing her sister. Finally, with just moments before the ceremony began, Rayvn agreed to the swap in hopes that she would at least reap some benefit from the marriage. Neither sister was expecting what would come next. After the vows were said and the McGregor brothers lifted their veils to reveal the women they had married as well as the betrayal that they had committed, Darius revealed his family's darkest secret when he sank his fangs into Rayvn's neck. The guests scattered and screamed while Rayvn and Rayne were drained of life and then fed their Husband's blood in order to revive them a few hours later, damning them to an eternity of Vampirism. Many died that night at the hands of the McGregor family, including Jace and Lilian Black.
Among the casualties were Abbigail, though it was the beginning of a new life for the two women, none of them could have foreseen the trail of bodies that would follow in their wake. For nearly half a century Rayvn traveled with her twin as well as Darius and Marrow across the Irish countryside and eventually to the new world. However, the more the bounced from place to place, the more Rayvn realized that what they were doing was wrong. She had met several vampires who did not kill and had come to the realization that death was not necessary in their lifestyle. She attempted to convince her companions of this but none would listen so she left the only family she had known since her death and set out for a new life. Rayvn continued to travel for years, ensuring her own safety and survival as much as she could in the changing years until she eventually decided to head to the New World.
Rayvn eventually decided to head west, toward what was to become California. The woman had been alone for years, integrating herself with society the best she could although she kept with what she knew, remaining with in High Society as much as she could. On February 12, 1912 Rayvn arrived in San Francisco California under the guise of Lady Victoria Blackburn. She had established herself as the daughter of a newly wealthy oil tyrant, of which she could easily explain why no one had yet to hear of him. She had told those of the upper classes that her father had sent her to establish an estate in San Francisco while he settled his business affairs in the east.
She quickly gained an inner circle of friends and when the summer season came around, they insisted that Lady Blackburn make herself known. Rayvn attended all the parties, enjoying the liveliness and decadence that the upper class had to offer. The woman continued this lifestyle throughout the ages, moving constantly from state to state. She used different aliases, sticking to as high society as she possibly could. About fifty years after her departure, she returned to California in order to attend Law school at Hastings. After graduating and passing the bar, the woman began establishing herself as a Criminal Defense attorney.
Of course, the woman's career in California could not last, not without risking being discovered for what she truly was. After a 'tragic' mishap during a case, the woman faked her death and moved once again, taking up residence in Crawford City. Once she got herself established, the woman sought out employment once again, though she found it rather difficult to find something that would allow her to work strictly at night.
