SUPERNATURAL GIFTS
Transformations - Werewolves are forced to endure a grueling transformation into a wolf like beast every full moon. The transformation is extremely traumatic, causing the werewolf's bones to break and reshape, the skin to tear and reform into an extremely tough hide covered in fur. While in this state, werewolves possess far greater physical attributes. They are immensely strong, and can move at faster speeds than most animals, their senses are even further enhanced, and they possess near limitless stamina and endurance. The transformation also initiates a healing process that allows werewolves to heal all injuries while transformed.
Enhanced Vitality - In human form, werewolves, even if they are an old age have the stamina, strength, vitality and capabilities of a human in their physical prime. A mutt werewolf's strength increases when the full moon is near, to the point that they can even match very old vampires physically. Purebred werewolves seemingly have this vitality all the time due to being mentally and metaphysically closer to their wolf than regular werewolves are. This makes them able to physically exert themselves for hours, before eventually becoming exhausted and needing rest.
Enhanced Strength - Werewolves are incredibly physically strong, both when transformed and in human form, though their strength waxes and wanes with the moon, being incredibly powerful the three days prior to the full moon. A werewolf in its wolf form is one of the physically strongest supernatural beings known. Werewolves have the strength to shove, strike and grab humans of seemingly higher muscle mass and size and with staggering, stunning, or incapacitating force and can easily overpower humans. It depends on natural size and mass to determine a werewolf's strength over another, as a larger body build as a human would transfer over to their wolf form as well.
Enhanced Senses - Werewolves have a well-developed sense of smell, which also intensifies in the 3 days before and a few hours after the full moon. They are able to smell other Werewolves, Vampires, and might even be able to smell the demonic blood of a Cursed One. They can smell what someone ate hours prior and can tell when someone is aroused, helping them distinguish a person's sexuality. Werewolves also can see perfectly in the dark when they are in their wolf form. Their hearing is also enhanced, being able to hear things blocks away if they open themselves up to it.
Enhanced Speed - In wolf form, werewolves are faster than humans. When close to the full moon, they are able to quickly run across long distances and can rapidly catch up to others in a chase.
Clairvoyance - As supernatural creatures, Werewolves can see and hear ghosts the same way Vampires and other ghosts can. This ability to perceive ghosts only takes effect after a werewolf's first transformation.
Enhanced Healing - During their transformations, a werewolf's ability to heal is enhanced. This healing factor allows them to survive their transformations, and is likely the reason why they do not suffer traumatic injuries like skin ripping or skeletal damage from transforming. Consequently, it is extremely difficult to slow down a transformed werewolf with anything less than silver or electricity. Werewolves have shown to heal minor wounds like scratches, and non fatal injuries done by silver or electricity could take a few days to heal.
Teeth and Claws - While they are transformed, werewolves possess extremely sharp claws and wicked fangs. A Werewolf's greatest weapons are its sharp teeth and sharp claws which can rend through most materials, including steel, wood, and easily ripping apart human flesh. The saliva from a Werewolf bite is fatal to a Vampire, and will kill them after 3 days of being infected.
WEAKNESSES
Silver - Silver is very harmful to Werewolves; direct contact with silver burns werewolves skin, and silver-inflicted wounds take much longer for werewolves to heal if they were non-fatal.
Electricity - Electricity is very harmful to Werewolves; as it can fry and burn their skin. For one reason or another, Werewolves do not regenerate as quickly from electrocution injuries.
Wolfsbane - Werewolves are allergic to the herb and it causes them to sneeze, watery eyes, and can dull their senses and power when ingested.
Mortality - As they are living beings, it is technically possible to kill Werewolves in mundane ways such as; decapitation, suffocation, bludgeoning, impalement; although werewolves are much more resilient against mundane methods of killing when in wolf form.

STORY SO FAR
Back in his twenties, he had gone camping with a friend, just the two of them alone. They camped the old fashion way, tents, dig a toliet, no phones, no technology, just them and the great outdoors. What he did not know that his friend had a secret and wanted to share it with Brian. It happened to be a full moon that night, good time to do some night time fishing.
Like any good boy scout, not that he was one, they both had everything set up before going off to do tomfoolery. When it got dark, Brian's friend stripped naked so his clothes would not get torn. Used to this habit, he didn't question it. It was when his friend started to grow fur and change that his face went pale. Soon there was a werewolf standing before him. Something he never thought existed except in stories. His friend hand wanted to share this experience with Brian. The friend had been in love with him since their early teens but Brian never felt the same way. Believing they would be together, he walked up to a frozen Brian and bit down on his throat, leaving a forever love bite.
Censoring the scene, Brian woke in the morning heavily scarred over his body. Grabbing what spare clothes he had that morning, he ran for his life. Not thinking of going for the car, he just ran and ran, dispute the sore muscles. He was lost in the woods for a week, found by search and rescue. His friend could have found Brian from his scent but gave him his space. Reunited now, he tried to explain that he was sharing a great gift. Brian was having none of it. He said he never wanted to see his friend again.
During the week alone he had been sick, feeling like death. He first thought it had been the mushrooms, even though he had taken a course on surviving alone in the wild. The first 24 hours of that week he wanted to die. Somehow he managed to survive.
The next full moon, he went thought his first change. His friend had stalked him that month. He was there to watch for Brian's first time. Both changed into their wolf forms. Brian had no memory of that time, but his friend remembered. They had murdered some helpless campers together like a pack.
Brian woke up in the middle of a field naked, covered in blood with a foul taste in his mouth. His friend was there to, with spare clothing for them both. He told Brian what they did and how fun it was. Sickened. Brian fled home without so much of a word to his parents, other family and friends. He left with whatever money he had in a savings from a trust fund, car and left town without looking back. Some states over, he sold his car, took money out from the bank, cut up any cards to not to be tracked and just travelled the country by buses, hitchhiking until he felt he was far enough from his old life.
He settled down in Des Moines, Iowa where he got a job at the Blank Park zoo. He started from the bottom, but eventually over the years he was promoted to zookeeper. Of course his favourite area was the wolf pen. Each full moon, he locked himself in one of the holding cells for new or dangerous animals.
Over time he heard whispers of werewolves were being endangered, so to speak. He also heard of a place safe for supernatural creatures in Massachusetts. He put in a request to be transferred to the zoo in Crawford City. After waiting near a year, he was transferred at the age of 52. Now he lived at Crawford for a few months, helping to manage the local zoo.
